A brand new retro-inspired 2D action side-scroller in the iconic Terminator franchise has been announced. It is being developed by Bitmap Bureau and published by Reef Entertainment. Players assume control of series heroine Sarah Connor, her son and the savior of mankind, John Connor, and the T-800 in a range of missions that recreate scenes from Terminator 2: Judgment Day, as well as wholly original scenarios and multiple possible endings. The game looks absolutely beautiful, and like it would've been right at home on the Super Nintendo or Sega Genesis consoles. I can't get enough of these licensed throwback titles that actually pay respect to the franchise, rather than feeling like a cheap, poorly made slopfest.
