Update 2/3/2025:

The project has been officially canceled, and the Kickstarter has ended. Here is the statement posted by Dio Traverso:

Hey y'all - we just got the unfortunate news that we need to shut down the Kickstarter campaign. On behalf of Chris and I, we want to thank everyone who believed in and supported this project. Since we're ending the campaign early, no funds will be gathered and unfortunately we won't be able to fulfill any rewards.

Thanks so much!

Overview:

Our Story

Lost in Hyrule is a not-for-profit fan film set in the timeless, magical world of The Legend of Zelda. Created by a team of passionate fans of all eras of the series, we’re committed to delivering a story that feels both faithful to its roots and refreshingly unique.

The Film's Story

Lost In Hyrule directly follows Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask, presenting our take on the untold conclusion to the Hero of Time’s saga. As the film opens, Link has been missing for years, and it's up to Princess Zelda to find him before dark forces take control of the legendary hero. We’re excited to have Zelda take a co-leading role in the film (it is The Legend of Zelda after all!) while also presenting Link (both young and old!) in a fully realized, game-accurate way.

Creating Hyrule

Hyrule has been explored by fans for over 30 years, so we understand the importance of getting it right. We're building the kingdom from the ground up, utilizing both live locations and VFX to create the beautiful landscapes and iconic temples you know and love. Your support will help us bring the kingdom to life in all its wonder, just as it deserves.
