Visions of Mana Director Joins Square Enix

Visions of Mana Director, and Ex Devil May Cry 5 combat director, Ryosuke Yoshida has announced that he is leaving NetEase to join Square Enix!

This news comes from a tweet made late yesterday night when he had the following to say:

On a personal note, I quit NetEase Ouka Studios on October 31st. We were a new studio, but we were able to release Visions of Mana. I am grateful to the development team and NetEase for their support. It was a very good experience. Thank you all. I am happy to announce that I joined SQUARE ENIX in December. I will do my best to make a game that many people can enjoy!

Previously Ouka Studios was shut down by NetEase shortly after Visions of Mana released, but seeing someone as talented as Yoshida joining Square Enix itself might signify a possible future for the franchise! (Of course nothing is official at this time.)

And on a more personal note for us, I'd like to thank Ryosuke Yoshida for following us on X! We here are a big fan of your work, and waking up to your Tweet this morning was some really nice news before having to head back to our day jobs after the Thanksgiving weekend! We cannot wait to see your future projects.
