Life Bottle Productions has announced that the long awaited translation of Tales of Rebirth is officially out!
Tales of Rebirth is the sixth main entry in Bandai Namco's JRPG series known as Tales. The game originally released on the PlayStation 2 back in 2004, with a PSP port years later in 2008. Despite being very well received and establishing itself as a fan favorite, the game remained exclusive to Japan.
While the West saw the release of Tales of Symphonia in 2004, and Tales of Legendia and Tales of the Abyss in 2006, Rebirth remained completely overlooked. Despite this, characters from Tales of Rebirth have continued to appear in western released crossover titles, such as the mobile games, and the main character Veigue even appears in Tales of Graces f.
As for Rebirth itself, the game uses a unique three way split battle system, where characters hop between three possible planes to fight in, and is one of the final few Tales of games to use detailed sprites rather than 3D models.
The translation is for the original PlayStation 2 version of the game, with future patches planned for quality of life improvements, and the extra content which was added into the PSP release.
You can check out and learn more about the translation over at their Official Website.
