Sony's long running rewards program is closing its doors on December 31st.
Simply titled Sony Rewards, the program rewards users for purchasing and registering Sony products, by purchasing games off of PlayStation Network, or by using the Sony Rewards Credit Card. The rewards system also previously gave points to it's members for obtaining trophies on PlayStation Network, which could ultimately reward Trophy Hunters with free games (and other prizes) for all their hard work.
Since then, Sony Rewards has been replaced by PlayStation Stars, which continues to reward PlayStation users for completing goals, and buying games from PlayStation Network.
With that being said, Sony Rewards has still been active up to this point, and has been rewarding members as it always has. With it closing on December 31st however, all points will be expired, making this the last chance to redeem any points members may have unknowingly earned.
For PlayStation owners, you can exchange points at a rate of 100 points per $1 on PlayStation Gift Cards. The lowest amount is 500 for $5, with $20, $25, and $50 options available as well.
Outside of PlayStation, other gift cards and rewards can also be exchanged for; including Target, American Eagle, and other well known brands.
To learn more, or redeem your points before they are gone, head on over to the Official Website located right here.
