Holiday indie hit Snowman Story is now on Nintendo Switch

Snowman Story Switch

Indie developer Odencat has announced that their 2019 narrative adventure game Snowman Story is now on Nintendo Switch!

Originally released on Steam and mobile devices, the game was a Google Indie Games Festival 2020 award winner, and offered a unique cozy experience just in time for the Christmas season. Now with the Nintendo Switch version, the game returns for the 2024 Holiday, and features a new English translation and controller support.

When discussing the game, Odencat founder Daigo Sato had this to say:

"We are very happy to have launched another game on Switch. Snowman Story is a great game to cozy up with this Christmas season, and we're hopeful that this version will find its way to more of our fans! Like our other titles, it may be a cute game on the surface, but there's a lot of ideas about life and death that are explored in this story. We're excited to see what next year holds, but for now it's a perfect time to relax on the holidays."

About:

In Snowman Story, players take control of a snowman named Chris on a journey to find a fabled land far to the north—a paradise where it is said that his kind may be able to survive their inevitable fate of melting when spring arrives. Along the way, he’ll encounter a whole host of woodland critters who’ll guide him on his way and offer assistance with the game’s icy puzzle stages.

He’ll also follow in the footsteps of other fallen snowmen, each with their own tragic tale to tell of how they tried and failed to make the very same pilgrimage. By reading memories from their remains and hearing their cautionary tales, Chris just might be able to avoid the same fate.
