ATLUS has released a playable demo for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance on PC via Steam as well as on PlayStation.
The demo includes the ability to select which path you'd like to play through, and includes the introduction of both branches. Progress made in the demo can also be transferred to the full release, giving newcomers more of a reason to give this one a chance.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is currently available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The demo is out now on Steam, but will be available on November 15th on PlayStation.
