Nintendo has announced that a playtest is scheduled to take place from 10/23/2024 until 11/05/2024.
While no information was provided about the playtest itself, those who apply must have a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership, and be at least 18 years or older.
The official site goes on to explain that roughly 10,000 members will be let into the playtest, and that it will feature "new software." The recruitment period begins Thursday, 10/10/2024 08:00 a.m. PDT and lasts until 10/15/2024, or until enough members have applied.
