Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete Launches December 3rd

Nintendo has officially announced Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete will be coming to iOS and Android on December 3rd of 2024. The game will follow after the shut down of the current free to play version of Pocket Camp, and will cost $9.99 until January 31st when the price will be increased to $19.99.

The game features all of the main content from the original Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, with the inclusion of a new area called Whistle Pass where KK Slider will perform every night. While the original friends feature has been removed, players will be able to share special friend cards with each other which allows them to still appear within Whistle Pass.

Other changes to the game include the removal of Leaf Tickets (so it is recommended to spend them all now), the addition of Leaf Tokens, which function similarly and can be used to unlock special items or lessen item construction time, and previous paid content being included as part of the base game. This includes features such as choosing your favorite animal villager to follow you around camp sites, the ability to share multiple camp layouts, and decorations for your planner.

While everything not multiplayer related will transfer from the original version of the game, players must ensure they have linked their account to their Nintendo account if they wish to transfer. Once the previous game is shut down on November 28th, you will no longer be able to transfer your save data. Those who update the app to the current version and play will also automatically register their existing friend's friend cards in the new app, but both players will need to access the game for it to be registered.

On top of the existing content, one full year's worth of new content will be added to the game as well, with new events and furniture for players to discover. Once this new year's content is over, the previous seven years worth of events will repeat on loop in four year intervals. The game is designed to last indefinitely, and encourage players to continue playing for years to come.
