The Crew Motorfest adds Maui Island for free on November 6th, Offline Mode planned for The Crew 2

Ubisoft
has revealed more of their Year 2 Content plans for The Crew Motorfest, including the addition of Maui Island for free, beginning November 6th 2024.

Along with this announcement, Ubisoft confirmed that both The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest will continue operating for "years to come," with an offline version of both games planned whenever the eventual "end of service" comes about.

For those who have yet to play The Crew 2, it can currently be purchased for $1 as part of a special ongoing promotion. From now until September 23, The Crew Motorfest can also be purchased at a 70% discount.

Other new content being added to The Crew Motorfest itself includes a new "The Chase Squad" PvE mode, and 20 additional vehicles.

For more, here's the announcement from Ubisoft as revealed during The Crew Showcase 2024.

Announcement:

Starting on 6th November, all The Crew Motorfest players will be able to roam the island of Maui for free, adding over 100km² of pure on and off-roading fun, which represents nearly 50% of O’ahu’s size. Going from one island to the other will be a seamless experience, as Maui will be accessible by sea, by air or by the road through a new bridge, without any loading screen. This new playground has been designed to represent the vibrant melting pot of cultures that is Maui, blending ancient Hawaiian traditions with modern influences, set to make players' journeys more captivating than ever. They will discover the road to Hana, deep lush bamboo forests, mesmerising waterfalls, and narrow bridges showcasing Maui's natural wonders. Players will also be able to experience the beauty of Kaihalulu beach, with its glowing red sands, and explore the legendary Haleakalā National Park, the "House of the Sun"! The island's vibrant heart, Kahului, features a lively city center, a deep-draft harbour, and verdant suburbs to explore. Maui beckons, offering endless exploration and exhilarating motorised escapades.

Season 5 is the first of the 3 added with Year 2, packed with free fresh automotive thrills for players to enjoy. It will mark the return of the beloved “Made in Japan” playlist, with Volume 2 introducing brand new neon races, events, and locations. New street racer squads have arrived at the festival, and they are determined to dominate the asphalt, putting players to the test! Once all the main events have been tackled, players will unlock the Rivals Race board and get into ruthless face-offs in dynamic one-on-one races across the open roads of both islands. But this is just the beginning! Weeks of content have been lined up for Season 5, with new challenges, car culture themes, and exciting rides to collect for the season.

Finally, the Year 2 update will also bring premium PVE content with “The Chase Squad”, a new Motorfest twist on car chase gameplay. As members of the Squad, players will master the art of the Chase, embarking on an adrenaline-fueled journey to hunt down, outsmart, and outmaneuver urban racing rivals in intense face-offs across the islands. French artist Carpenter Brut created “Death Racer”, an exclusive track to ignite these nocturnal pursuits and keep players on edge while tracking their rivals throughout the islands of O’ahu and Maui. This original soundtrack will be available on all digital platforms this coming fall.

The Chase Squad experience will be included in the Year 2 Pass, which will be available on 6th November. It will also be part of the refreshed Gold and Ultimate editions of The Crew Motorfest, available on the same date. The Year 2 Pass will unlock access to 20 additional vehicles in total: 9 vehicles will be available from day one, while the remaining 11 vehicles will be released in monthly drops throughout the year.
