SoulQuest is an upcoming 2D Action Hack & Slash by developer SoulBlade Studio LLC that is inspired by games such as Devil May Cry and Bayonetta. Using a pixel art style, the game is set in a fantasy world that pulls influences from Celtic Mythology, and focuses on our main character Alys as she fights to bring her husband back to life.
Originally announced as a Steam and Nintendo Switch release, SoulBlade Studio has confirmed that a PlayStation and Xbox release will also be included as a part of the stretch goals when the project launches on Kickstarter in the near future.
While not a lot of details have been shared about the overall game, a demo is currently available on Steam which gives players an inside look at the game's flashy combat and combo systems, and the game's level structure.

SoulQuest’s story begins when the village of Cetonia is invaded by hordes of demonic creatures. Alys's husband, Gwydre, the mightiest knight in the world, dies in an admirable attempt to defend it. Without him, the village is almost razed to the ground by the end of the day.
With a broken heart, his wife Alys was searching the remains of the village for survivors when she stumbled upon a mysterious druid called Abanus. He, in his wisdom, sees through Alys’ troubled feelings and reveals to her that there is a way to bring souls back from the realm of the dead. But, for any mortal to acquire such a power, it would take them to defeat Morrigan, the Goddess of Death, and to take her powers to themselves.
