SEGA Gamescom Lineup includes an Unannounced Project

Shadow the Hedgehog's new form from SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS, a game set to appear at Gamescom

SEGA will be attending Gamescom 2024, and will feature two first time European hands-on, as well as a world premier.

This year at Gamescom, SEGA will have a booth at Hall 7, and will let event goers try out three games. The first of which is none other than SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS, which will be a first for the European audience, as well as Metaphor: ReFantazio.

The third, and final game, featured at SEGA's booth is an unannounced project, and will be shown off as a world premier. SEGA stated that fans should stay tuned to their social media for updates, but did not state when the announcement will be made.

Gamescom 2024 is set for Wed, Aug 21, 2024 – Sun, Aug 25, 2024.

For more, here is the official announcement from SEGA:

SEGA will be attending Gamescom 2024 in Cologne, Germany with an exciting line-up of hands-on experiences including one world’s first, for show attendees over in Hall 7.

SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS will be publicly playable in Europe for the first time. Players will be able to choose between Shadow the Hedgehog's brand-new story campaign featuring never-before seen abilities or Sonic the Hedgehog in a complete remaster of the highly acclaimed time travelling adventure, SONIC GENERATIONS.

The Sonic fun doesn’t stop there on the SEGA stand, as Sonic himself will be in attendance posing for photos with fans as well as an opportunity to come and check out the custom-built Shadow-inspired motorcycle.

Elsewhere on the SEGA stand, Metaphor: ReFantazio, the all-new fantasy RPG from Atlus, will also make its public debut in Europe. Director Katsura Hashino (known for Persona 3, 4, 5 and Shin Megami Tensei III – Nocturne) and Studio Zero’s game will be playable, giving showgoers the opportunity to experience the game’s illustrious cast of characters, many locales and intricate combat system, for the first time. Don’t miss the giant Seeker statue too, a truly memorable photo opportunity.

Completing the line-up of playable titles on the SEGA stand is an as yet unannounced project. Stay tuned to our social channels, TwitterFacebook and Instagram over the coming weeks for more information. For more information about SEGA and its products, visit www.sega.co.uk.
