Sonic X Shadow Generations: New Stages

SEGA has released a new trailer for Sonic X Shadow Generations showing some of the new stages that will be appearing in the game, as well as their original inspiration.

The new stages being added to Sonic X Shadow Generations are as follows.

Final Chase:

Originally featured as the final Shadow stage in Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, this stage returns recreated from the ground up for Sonic X Shadow Generations. A few alterations has been made to the level, with the spinning green gravity platforms now being replaced by solid gravity walls. The exploding meteors have also been removed, as the level as a whole has been refined.

Rail Canyon:

Rail Canyon is a mostly on rail stage that debuted in Sonic Heroes. The stage takes place over a giant canyon, with rails you must switch between to avoid being hit by train like robots. While the stage was featured in all story modes of Sonic Heroes, the Team Dark story featured the longest, and most challenging, version of this stage.

Kingdom Valley:

Kingdom Valley is a later stage from the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 title "Sonic the Hedgehog," often referred to by fans as "Sonic 06." The stage was used for the demo of the game, and is considered one of the most iconic stages. Featuring floating waterways to grind down, and stain glass windows to crash though, Kingdom Valley is a unique stage that is a great addition to the lineup.

Radical Highway Inspired Stage:

While not featured in the new trailer, Radical Highway was also previously announced. This stage was the very first Shadow Stage in Sonic Adventure 2. It's an iconic part of Shadow's past, and one that deserves it's spot in the lineup.
