The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Announced

The newest entry in The Legend of Zelda series has been announced! The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is the newest "classic" style entry in the series.

Taking inspiration from the remake of games like Link Between Worlds and the more recent Link's Awakening remake; Echoes of Wisdom flips the series on it's head, and this time lets Zelda herself shine in the staring role!

After Link goes missing, Zelda must set forth on an adventure across Hyrule to fight the forces of evil and save him for a change. Armed with her new magical ability "echo"  to copy objects in the world, Zelda can duplicate not only everyday objects, but enemies as well!

Using these objects and enemies to her advantage, she must navigate the world and it's many dungeons, solving puzzles in different unique ways. Placing water to swim up to the top of a ledge, or using tables to reach higher ledges and discover new areas - it's up to the player to come up with creative ways to achieve Zelda's goal.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is scheduled for release on the Nintendo Switch on September 26th, 2024.

About from Nintendo:

It’s up to Zelda and her wisdom to save the kingdom of Hyrule in a brand-new story in The Legend of Zelda series. The people of Hyrule are being stolen away by strange rifts that have appeared, with a certain swordsman among the missing. Team up with the mysterious fairy, Tri, and use the power of the Tri Rod to create echoes – imitations of things found in the environment. Then recreate those echoes whenever you like to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. Use echoes of water blocks to reach new heights, make bridges out of old beds, throw rocks at foes – or find your own creative combination of echoes to do things your way. You can even create echoes of monsters to fight at your side in combat. Join Zelda in her quest to rescue Hyrule when The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom launches for Nintendo Switch on Sept. 26.
