A few days ago Sony announced that the PlayStation Vita TV would be coming out in Japan, and that it would act as a home console version of the PlayStation Vita. Well, it seems that Sony currently has no plans to release this console in the west. Apparently for the time being this will be a Japanese Exclusive "console," and there is a chance it will stay that way.
Despite the news of this announcement, that doesn't mean all hope is actually lost. Often an accessory or even a model for a console is released exclusively in Japan, only to hit the western shores after some time has passed. While Sony didn't say that they would NOT bring the console over, they simply said that they currently have "no plans" to do so. In other words, there is hope, but we will all just have to wait and see what really happens.
