Although Netto's Game Room is taking a break due to Labor Day; I did want to provide you guys with one small update. As you may know, yesterday we made an announcement about the new project by Kenji Inafune; a game titled "Mighty No.9." The game is a spiritual successor to the long running Mega Man franchise (which Kenji Inafune originally helped create), and all it needed was $900,000 to be funded. Well, the goal has now been met!
At this moment the project has over 18,000 backers with more than $1,000,000 being funded. While this is well over the initial goal, a few "stretch goals" have been put in place as well. For example, if $1,200,000 is raised, two more stages will be included in the game, and if a goal of $2,500,000 is reached, the game will be available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U. So, will Mighty No. 9 reach that goal? Well, only time will tell, but personally I think it will. The Mega Man fanbase is strong, and I'm sure they'll be able to pull through.
