Well, Nintendo Direct has come and gone, and we've got a lot to cover! Before we get into the games though, I wanted to update all of you on the upcoming new DLC for New Super Mario Bros U, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, and Fire Emblem: Awakening. So anyway, lets get started!
Super Luigi U:
According to Nintendo, 2013 is going to be the "Year of Luigi." During this year, they will be releasing quite a few Luigi based games, but one of them is actually a massive DLC pack for one of the games that has already been released! Using New Super Mario Bros U, Nintendo is working on a brand new adventure called "Super Luigi U" to star our hero's brother Luigi. After you download "Super Luigi U," all of the levels in New Super Mario Bros U change, and a completely brand new adventure begins.
Although Super Luigi U is in fact its own game, it still requires New Super Mario Bros U to be played, and it will be released as DLC for the game on the eShop in the near future.
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge:
Team Ninja has really been going out of their way to make up for Ninja Gaiden 3. They recreated the game, fixed just about everything wrong with the original, brought us new characters, gave us a few major updates for free, and they also included many extras to make the game last for hours and hours and hours... Well, looks like they're still not done! Team Ninja will now be releasing a brand new (free) patch for Razor's Edge, and this time they will be adding in 20 new Ninja Trails, and one new costume for each of the characters! Yep, they are expanding the game once again, and it gives everyone even more of a reason to keep playing!
Fire Emblem Awakening:
It's no secret that Fire Emblem: Awakening will be featuring DLC packs. Up until today the "Champions of Yore" series has been up for download, with the first part being free until next month, the second part costing $2.50, and a $4.00 DLC pack that allows you to buy all three maps at a discounted price. Well today Champion's of Yore 3 has been released, AND the first of the next series of maps as well! The Golden Gaffe is the newest map in Fire Emblem: Awakening, and it's a DLC that's based around money. It's a great way to make some quick cash in game, and it's also a great way to level grind your characters (especially if you're playing on harder modes)! On top of that, you can also buy the entire map pack for $6.00, which will include The Golden Gaffe as well as the rest of the maps in the series.
Well, that does it for the DLC updates! Still we've got a LOT more to cover today, so please stay with us for a little while longer!
